For our first-ever Together NYE event, we’re proud to be partnering with Think Tank, a new club & restaurant in Kendall Square that turns the nightclub into a public parlor. The classy but comfy space include video games (Capcom vs. Marvel!), excellent lighting and a top shelf soundsystem.

At the bar, you’ll find local draft beer, regional wine and even liquor from the area. The food is international and endlessly creative, with a staff and surroundings to match.
With two frontrooms to lounge, a bar and game room, plus a well-intentioned dancefloor, Think Tank gives up something for everyone.

Musically, there’s everything and more: The tech-funk of DJ Melee, the fresh sound of Banana Peel records, late-night disco from Nathaneal Bluhm, current club house music from DJezus and the always well-informed techno of Volvox.

It’s among the largest cities on the East Coast of the United States, but has always struggled in the shadow of its big brother, New York. Shuja Haider takes a look at the unique clubbing landscape of Boston. Of America’s major cities, most have their own indigenous kind of music. From the several scenes of obvious metropolises like New York, Chicago or Detroit, to local subgenres like Philly Soul, DC Hardcore and Baltimore Club, an eponymous musical style seems like a prerequisite to a city’s cultural stature. As for Boston, though, it’s hard to identify a native musical movement that has made its way into the history books—unless you count “More Than a Feeling.”
